North Shore Billet (NSB) is an independent mountain bike component brand based in Whistler, BC. We design and machine high-performance bike components, including cranks, chainrings, pedals, and other precision-machined parts, right here in Whistler.

We're a small, hands-on team passionate about mountain biking, engineering, and making quality products. From our machine shop to our retail space in Function Junction, we work closely with our products, customers, and the riding community. Everyone plays an important role in keeping the business running, and there's always something new to learn or improve.

We are looking for a well-versed and experienced machinist who can operate machines efficiently, safely, and independently to join our small dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

• Efficiently and properly set up and operate machine tools such as HAAS CNC Lathes and Milling machines to make components to specified tolerances and dimensions.
• Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and sketches.
• Use a variety of machinist’s hand tools and precision measuring instruments for quality control (QC).
• Knowledge of HAAS controls is a plus.
• Knowledge of GibbsCAM and Solidworks is a preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new skills and follow written procedures.
• Identify and acquire tooling, supplies, and material as necessary for proper operation of the shop.
• Maintain a quality-assurance (QA) program for materials and parts to ASTM F1193
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work.
• Maintain the machines as required
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail.
• Good documentation and organization skills.
• Clear communication written and spoken English.
• Ability to lift over 50 pounds.
• Red Seal preferred

Experience

• CNC milling machine: 4 years (preferred)

Location: Whistler, BC — on-site at our Function Junction location

Start: As soon as we find the right candidate

Type: Full-time, 40 hrs/week with flexible schedule. Typically Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm

Pay: CA$70,000.00 - CA$80,000.00 per year
